THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the psychoactive compound that produces the "high" effect, while CBD (cannabidiol) is non-psychoactive and may provide therapeutic benefits. Products vary in their THC and CBD ratios to suit different needs.
In Alberta, adults can purchase up to 30 grams of dried cannabis (or equivalent) at one time. This limit applies to all cannabis products combined, with different conversion rates for various product types.
